The carrier is broken like a halloween pumkin, looks like someone cut it open to scoop the guts out. Spider gears and one of the bearings are trashed too.

We were working on my front axle last night and realized it had some sort of locker or limited slip in it. Anyone know what kind of locker comes stock in a '77 F150 HP44?

Its a factory trac loc (limited slip), sell it on the bay, I have seen them go for $60-200.

Find an axle in the junk yard with the same gear ratio.
Should be a million of them.
What axle is it, I have three GM junks out behind my shop waiting to go to the bone yard....

Its a 14 bolt Full float. I don't know the gear ratio, I'm sure Mark will chime in.

He is trying to find a set of spider gears, cross shaft, etc... to fill an open carrier he got.

It's a full float 14 bolt, 10.5" ring gear, 3.73 ratio. I have an empty open carrier that I got locally, and just ordered a spider kit from Reider Racing. I appreciate the thought Sean, but the logistics of schlepping a big rear end just isn't worth the labor involved in light of how easy they are to work on.

so, I've done some research on the bed for the MJ.
I'm thinking 50's style bed, with stake pockets so I can build a cloth top for it.
If I go clotch top I can build a roll bar as well, and just use that for the front bow.
ideas?
pictures appreciated, nothing in crayon please
