hey...to all you recent home buyers, how many listings is it possible to see in a day? we are applying for pre-approval this week and we have about 1.5 days to actually view houses. we narrowed the list down to 15, and we really do have a top 5...but is 15 too many?

Depends on your wife and you.

Take it slow.. pictures and good notes to go with the realtor sheets. There is nothing wrong with looking at a certain house two or three towns.

Peanut butter motor time...

I will give you a nice shiny crisp $5 bill for the Jeep since the motor is bad.

Good looking Jeep toter tho

How does your chevy hauler do on hauling your jeep around? Have always been curious how one of those would do.

there was an international roll back tow truck for sale down the street for the last couple weeks...evil thoughts were had.

It does good, but I still prefer the truck and trailer. I've dragged my Jeep down to the Cliffs twice in it. The biggest problem with this one is that is has a built 350 in it, which would be awesome in my MJ, but not so awesome in this. Been thinking about swapping in a 454 or diesel motor or just selling it and buying one with a Powerstroke or Cummins. It does come in handy helping a friend out, picking up a non-running project, and for junking vehicles.

I need a trailer...
And more Jeep parts.

With a trailer you can get a lot of Jeep parts!

I have wanted one of those for years. Problem is most are used up living a long life working hard.

They do live a hard life, the one we had prior to this had over 500k miles of use. Sometimes you can find one that hasn't been used commercially. The one we have now was used only as a race car hauler and has a little over 150k on it.

That chevy would be good candidate for 12v cummins swap. Rig on the back and then tow a camper behind it to sleep in.

Taking the 5.4L heads down to Baxter's Engine in Eau Claire WI tomorrow to get checked for warp-age and milled if necessary... Also dropping off the heads and block/rotating assembly of the Buick 225 for Bec's jeep to get inspected and milled if necessary...

I may have to look into one of these haulers. Could still pull the pop up behind it when we go wheeling.

I would love to swap a Cummins in the old girl. If I ever went this route I'd probably build a hillbilly hauler on a two place trailer.

Is there a way to see if a rear end has a limited slip in it without opening it up? Trixie's Jeep is a 2000 limited so was thinking it might have one. Anybody got any ideas on it?

Jack the rear axle up and spin one of the tires while holding the other one. If it tries to go the opposite way then it's open. Hard to explain on here so I hope that helps.

Just spin one side with both sides jacked up.

Limited slip (that works) or locker will spin both tires the same way.

If it spin opposite its open.
