I made a "quick inexpensive" wheeling trip last weekend.

not so inexpensive

gas= $200
lodging= $120
Membership $40
Meals= $100

nearly $500 for a wheeling trip to a place only 4 hours away. That is why no winterfest for me.

camp and save a c-note. pack sandwiches and save a lot more, you just need to learn how to be poor.

it was 30 degrees, camping not an option for the wife.

I can get by on ez cheese and crackers for a weekend. It's the wife that HAS to have Olive Garden, Mcdonalds, etc.

If I were to go by myself it would have cost about 150 total, add the wife and her jeep and watch the costs go up.

I've learned to eat out of the cooler as much as possible. It's the fast-food and all the eating out that gets really expensive. Ham samiches is where it's at. :cheers:
