Meh, I'm happy with the 12-18 empty; 8-10 towing I get with the Avalanche. It's paid for, has a proven 5.3L and the wife can drive it.

A friend of mine's dad has one of the ecoboost ford's. Says he gets around 20mpg with it. He really likes it so far.

Truth.

Kim DDs the Avalanche, but since I work nights, 80-90% of the time we need to go somewhere it's in the company car.

Before the baby we drove the company car everywhere.

Now I just try to go run the errands, I'm not a big fan of putting her in the car.

We've had the 5.9 almost a year and are just approaching putting 6k on it.

Dodge's SUCK!!! Cummins are cool though, I am sure you would say the same thing about power behind the wheel of a 6.4 or 6.7/

That's for sure. We went to Indy this weekend, huge PITA to drive around up there in a marked car, especially one that stands out like mine does.

One kid would be easy, to get all three of mine in there I have to take some of my gear out of the back seat.

I have to stay in the county...

I got about 13mpg towing the boat around in the 97. Doing about 70mph.

If I can add anything to some part of the conversation...

Google says Aroosrock County in Maine at 6820 sq. mi. But on a technicality, St. Louis County MN at 6860 sq. mi. could take top spot because it is east of the Mississippi River.
