Important

This is where the van rested on a stump after we came to a stop.

And again I can't get the picture to resize. Sorry. Hopefully santa is very nice to me this year to help me fix my tow rig.

Ouch. I take it you got out of it fine?

I think I will try to make both winterfest runs.
There is two runs?

it should.
Windows defender is pretty limited as far as information it gives.
There's a place in the settings to do a manual update, but it should be automatic.
Frankly, it sucks.
Look at Ewido, now avg, anti spyware or spysweeper.
Spysweeper=the goodness, but it's subscription only and it's a resource hog. I certainly wouldn't let it run the resident shield all the time.
ewido is also pretty proficient, and you can do AVG+Ewido for about $50.

every computer I have ever installed it on tells me its definitions are old after a few weeks, so I tell it to download them, it fails and I end up having to go to microsoft update and run that gauntlet. Saddens me that I am the only one this happens to........with 4 couputers so far.

I managed to completely disable my rig today. Was supposed to drive it to work tomorrow.....decided to change rear gears at 230 pm today.

I think the pinion depth is close enough , unfortunately no backlash as of now, I'll get it tomorrow. Wouldn't have taken so long if I had a press, torch ( I have one, but it was across town), pickle fork, dial caliper (had one can't find it), prybar, and a lift.

BTW It took 2 of those hours to remove bearings from my e-locker.

Damn Kim! Glad you guys made it ok, and the damage seems minimal. So what gave the suspension, or the tie rod end?

Got a new rear diff. cover in the mail today.
Pics to come.
:looser:

The crash was not to bad. The front right rim, rotor, caliper, and pretty much everything else in that area just let go when I went to turn to the right. Could not turn at all.
We were fine. The underneath of the van took most of the blow. I didn't look into any costs for getting it fixed yet but I would say repairs should be over $1000.00 in parts. We are still planning on going to Winterfest but things will be very tight between now and then.

Yeah, since the crash, I have been driving the 96 daily and let me tell ya, you don't have time to even think about falling asleep at the wheel at 4:00a.m. on the highway. Many things in the front are in need of replacement a.s.a.p.

Been working on it the past few days chipping away at the problems.
Just drained the rear axle and that is the worst I have ever seen gear lube. Very very thick almost a paste. Going to take alot of cleaning tonight. I need to find a rear yoke right away too. No little tabs on mine to hold in the caps in place so I had to weld them in. Going to be a long night again.

Kim.
