8mm.

of course I just find a std. socket that fits good, they are not supposed to be that tight.

:D

Okay, 1990 XJ that lived originally in WI then moved to IL 4 years ago.
Its gonna need a little torque applied to it.

I have 8mm sockets. I've owned Chevys before......(BTW, thanks)

So if you have a 8mm socket...why did you not just try that? Or did you really need to get our advice before just seeing if it would fit?

:D

BTW -It may not be 8mm.

No, I didn't try it yet. I'm only getting about 45 minutes to an hour a day to work on this, yet have a deadline to have the lift and tires on before the 8th.

I was mainly asking, to see if it was some goofy, bizzare .5mm job that I would need to swipe from the tool locker at work.

so it's gonna need new wheel cylinders after you break those off eh?

Hopefully no breakage. I've used so much PB Blaster, most of my shop uniforms smell like the stuff after the laundry.

But I have to redo the rear brakes, so it would be just one more thing....

I broke one of mine off.
New ones are about 12 bucks at the parts house. For $25 it just seemed a whole lot easier, and certainly was less time consuming.
if it's a d35 I've got a set I could mail you.

Thanks but not needed. I think I have 3 or 4 parts D35's laying around here.

Meh, I'm now down to one battery on my drill. I'm wondering if I should just buy a new drill, or just get a battery.
what's wrong with the other pack, not holding a charge?
rebuild it, sub c's cost about $2 a piece shipped.

You can rebuild the batteries? Never heard of that. Need more info. JIM.

Or...

I took the guts out of my bad 14.4 battery pac and replaced it with 15' of double 6 ga wire with alligator clips on the end.
voila'
OBD (On board drill)

I'm not exactly shure. I think it sat to long, and the battery went compleatly dead, and the charger doesn't see any voltage in it at all so it thinks it's junk. I might try to get a small charge in it then see if it will go.I would love to make it a trail drill, but I don't think 18v will run to good on 12v. It is just a cheep Black & Decker, but it's proved it worth many times over. I used to use it when I did HVAC even dropped from the rafters of a nursing home to the concreat floor. A coupple of Zip ties, and it was good to go.

If the cells went completely flat it's likely that they're toast. Probably a dead short somewhere in the pack, might only be one or two cells. Gonna have to get the multimeter out to be sure.

First day back to work. Yea.
Got paperwork?
:thumbdn:

Remote from Davenport....stopped by the I-80 truckstop on my way...I knew they were doing construction, but damn....the truck shop has 2 tractors, and 1 tractor-trailer combo in it, not to mention a crap load of truck dressup parts and lights....still a ton of room.
