Let cry on here when your getting your second divorce just like your old man.

K "remember to tell me I was right" man

Agreed. My wife and I did the same thing. The secret to not getting divorced is not living together first, it is knowing 100% who you are with before thinking about marriage. May be old fashioned and not something everyone here will agree with, but it's what we did and 8 years later we are happy as the day we walked down the aisle; 3 kids and all. Props to you TH, seems we share similar ideals. Like I said, not going to put it down, just not something I was raised to do. Divorce is the same way; not going to look down on those that have, just not something I will do.

I think anyone getting married should live together. Experience the stress of bills, being around eachother 24/7 good bad and ugly. Also I see nothing wrong with having a child put of wedlock. Another stresser and creates a whole new love between you. I will have been with Alexis 6Jean years prior to marriage. Like I said I'm only doing this shit once.

Obviously there are two schools of thought on this. To each his own on what you decided to do. TH posted that he wasn't going to do it, I don't think its fair to tell him that he should if he doesn't believe that way. Not everyone believes what you do in that regard. I happen to disagree with your thoughts on a child out of wedlock...but I'm not going to scorn you over it.

I'm also only going to get married once.

Society rewards people for having kids out of wedlock and make divorce pretty easy. It would've been cheaper to have a child out of wedlock than to do what I believe is right and have a child when you are married.

whether it's against the rules or not, it pisses people off and gets em soured on you before they even meet you... I suggest treading carefully till you've wheeled and/or been to a campfire with the crew, by then they'll have a few things to make fun of you for and you will probably have a few things to jab about also. Goes a bit better.

pot...kettle...

This thread brings the suck.

man you got that right...glad I've been off wheeling for the last two weeks.

Managed to break one of the 1.5 inch 19 spline eaton shafts in my rear axle.

If you remember where this pic was taken in the quarry, I broke a 30 spline outer and hub on that hill. The next ledge over is where I broke the rear driver's side axle shaft.

Had it basically replaced in less than 20 mins.

good point... though I like to think I didn't cause this much of a stir before showing my ugly face.

iirc I only gave Aaron crap and I'm sure as hell not going back and reading all my own worthless posts to double check :eyes:

you have a RENIX sender and an OBD jeep, or vice versa. My MJ does the same exact thing.

They changed the resistance curves, one goes one way, the other goes the other way. Live with it or swap in a year-appropriate sender.

What year is yours?

87 I will live with it don't feel like swapping another pump out. Didn't know if there was a easy fix or I did something wrong.

take white out, put an E over your F and a F over your E.

:D

Sound like a plan

I just say my gauge reads from Excellent! to Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawk! now.

I like this concept

this is prolly true

IIRC tim has some kind of franken jeep 87 with a late engine..

Yea she is ghetto. Not sure what year motor in it. It had a 4 cylinder in it somebody swap it out. The front end is from a 01 I belive so when I got order parts it fun.

You just have to transform each letter. Add the bottom horizontal line on the F and use a marker to cover up the bottom horizontal on the E. Don't worry about white out. That stuff is for people who don't want their shit to look factory. Or you can white out the whole cluster and it will be custom to the max.

Also ill put neon inside and outside. Put a awesome rice burner muffler on it and some form of ninja graphic

I can respect that, but what is the difference between me having a child out of wedlock or the thousands of people who have toddlers and are divorced?

k "wishes I had as fun of a couple weekends as you" man

stupid starter acting up again while i was at an empty gas station this morning. had to ask the clerk to come out and start my jeep while i hit it with a hammer.:hang:

Dooo it. Suburban kool-aid :D

DD the Jeep and save the Burb for towing. Unfortunately my Burb gets better mileage than the ZJ.

The kool-aid tastes good! :D My plan was to DD the XJ since it does better than a big block suburban. Probably drive the burb once or twice a week just to keep things running smoothly. I'm not in a huge hurry to get one, just thinking I should go that route since i'm getting to the point where breakage is not out of the ordinary.

I wish I had a tow rig and trailer simply for the places far away
^This. Redbird and badlands aren't terribly far for me. Harlan is a different story.

im planning on towing with my durango once i can afford a trailer. one helpful reason is the sleeping in the durango part.

the leather seats, front, and rear ac, and premium sound system doesn't hurt either

Aaron, keep in mind where you live, the size of your driveway, where you're going to park that big SOB, price of a trailer, the extra insurance+registration, etc. Wheeling was a fairly cheap and fun hobby with a $1500 turn-key Jeep that I could drive to the Badlands. Now the amount spent on the Jeep won't begin to touch what I've had to spend on tow rigs, maintenance, insurance+registration, etc.

As far as DDing, it's a pretty easy choice now. The truck gets better mileage, hauls more people/stuff, is way faster, nicer interior, and rides awesome. Years ago I wanted a tow rig just in case my junk broke, but in reality if you break down on the trail you still have to figure out how to get it off the trail. You have to get it fixed somehow to drive it back to the trailer, or if you can get towed off the trail then you bettter have spent the money on a winch to get it loaded up. Anymore it's not really about breaking, it's just a lot nicer to drive a stock pickup with plenty of power and comforts compared to driving a lifted Jeep, especially on the long trips.

What he said. I can hear the radio in my truck and not bounce my face off something on large bumps, and not wear down $400 a piece tires on the blacktop.

Driving to the trail was kool and their is some pride in that, but I CAN NOT wait to get my rig into some type of race/comp and push it further than I would before

Mac, I can't believe you were able to get enough traction with those bald tires to break a shaft.

Sometimes I wish this forum had rep on it, then again, there is probably times I probably would have wished it didn't.
