Anyway.... I might be moving in with my dad, which means the money I spent on gas will be cut in half (his home is 1/2 the distance I drive to work now). Also, instead of paying 390 for rent and utilties, I will be hopefully spending around 130 at most. Which means I can get some bills caught up, get caught up on maintenance on my XJ, and save up for many things (ring & lift). With my work schedule and his, we shouldn't even see each other three or four days a week (he works 7am to 7pm, I work 4pm to midnight). The other part is that his house was my Grandmas. I will also have access to his power tools (miter saw, drill press, and many saws) and a unfinished basement to build Sarah's Christmas present in. I have also applied for part time jobs to get even more caught up.

With any luck, I will only be there a year until I move again (I hate moving, but there is one move I will be excited for).

Living with someone before being married is something I will not do. I am not going to put it down, I won't do it though. My dad is the one who suggested moving in. He is almost starting over again now because his current wife is divorcing him. There is many other things going on that I won't post in here going on. It will save me money, it will save him money.

Adam, how's all the building and moving going at the station?

We are about two months away from getting in. They are getting carpet and finishing touches on the second floor I been told. First floor and the 1/2 floor above it I have no idea. My boss is going to take me through it again sometime soon. It seems the building knows the days are numbered. The current equipment is old, so far this year, we have had one piece of equipment go down for the count. The replacement temp. system is working, but has issues at times. There is other issues, but in a few short months, we will have all brand new equipment.

I also have a old man that's been divorced twice. He likes needy, broke and helpless women. And he has obey. You do the math. He also has a newer live in gf. I am learning from his mistakes. And if my soon to be marriage doesn't work I'm not doing it again. If you can't do it once it probably won't work the second or third time.

There are civilizations and cultures that trade goats for wives. And they have lots of wives making it work with all of them. All they have to do is make sure you're greeted at the door with a beer right after work and fellate their husband every opportunity they get.

If those un-refined cultures can make it work, so can we. Who's to say that living with someone before getting married makes it better than marrying someone in an arranged marriage?

Marry for looks and money. Don't procreate if your IQ is less than 100. Get a pre-nup if you don't follow either of the first 2 guidelines. Better yet, get one anyway.

Alright, this is attempt two at making this post.

I think we all need to understand that we haven't spent the face time with Dennis that we have with other members. His attitude isn't any different than the rest of us, we just haven't had the opportunity to talk with him without a computer between us.

Mike, it didn't seem like you and I would get along to well until we actually met. Don't let the internet make up your mind.

I'm not going to say that he hasn't said some things that have pissed people off. He has. But it's stuff that really isn't that bad if they have been said by me or another member who everyone knows.

Agreed. My wife and I did the same thing. The secret to not getting divorced is not living together first, it is knowing 100% who you are with before thinking about marriage. May be old fashioned and not something everyone here will agree with, but it's what we did and 8 years later we are happy as the day we walked down the aisle; 3 kids and all. Props to you TH, seems we share similar ideals. Like I said, not going to put it down, just not something I was raised to do. Divorce is the same way; not going to look down on those that have, just not something I will do.

The 95 was started last weekend to be moved into our storage warehouse but it had to be jumped.

whether it's against the rules or not, it pisses people off and gets em soured on you before they even meet you... I suggest treading carefully till you've wheeled and/or been to a campfire with the crew, by then they'll have a few things to make fun of you for and you will probably have a few things to jab about also. Goes a bit better.

I wheeled mine today and (probably) destroyed my last set of free lifetime replacement shocks, so I guess I'm out on this.

$23 lifetime warranty shocks + me + attempted jeepspeed = dead shocks after a few runs. If I wasn't planning on changing everything in the near future, I'd get some decent quality shocks...

the shondells were there as well...guess i missed that part till i saw the real poster. not sure how many guys were original, a couple of them weren't much older than me, but a couple were as old as tommy.

looks like i might be going back to k.c. tuesday and wednesday to the uptown theatre. one night is a stupid techno dj and the other night is derek trucks and susan tedeschi. trucks and tedeschi should be an awesome show. both are KILLER guitar players in their own right. the two together should be pretty awesome. i was supposed to be off all week though...so much for vacation.

Haven't drove mine since March. Needs a MC/Brake booster. Tried to start it a few weeks ago and it wouldn't start. It's always had a long crank time when you let it sit since for more than a few weeks. This time the battery went dead before it fired up. That's what I get for buying the cheap 2 year orielys specials. Next new one is an optima.


On a positive note, I start my new job at the RV place tomorrow. I've never looked forward to 7:30am until today.

Drove the jeep once around the yard in the last 5 months, enough to know i need to redo steering.

Both my and the wife's jeeps sat for 9 days while we were in Puerto Rico. Rental car was a Kia Forte, not a bad little car, but it sure was nice to get back and drive something with some torque, that doesn't need to downshift 2 or 3 gears to go up a slight hill.
