I dont think its a ford, the ford GPW the hood went all the way to the windshield and the windshield had a hinge going to the fender

Looking at more pics on line, it looks like ford, willies, and bantam all looked pretty similar to this one i posted and not so much like your pic. i have a jeep history book in my garage i will look at tonight and see if i can figure it out!

I was thinking that too, You can see the front IFS control arms. They aren't solid axle...even in the rear.
 
Waiting for the arrival of my new APN header... Then it will be off to the local shop to see if they will custom make a down-pipe with a flex joint in it (in place of the yoke crush) and pick up some Hi-temp Paint...

I can't wait for Saturday, exhaust, and possibly Fender trimming....

So we took Harrison to Madison for genetics testing yesterday to try and narrow down his eye issues. Or so we thought. Wound up getting a high school biology refresher on the passing of the X chromosome, how chromosomes are made of DNA and how DNA is made of proteins.

Other than a once over, there was no testing or looking at Harrison.

They said they want to see us in 6 months with Meganne's mom's retinal pictures and have Meganne examined for comparison to Harrison.

Great...another 6 months of not knowing if there is anything wrong with my kid. It was really discouraging to drive the 5hr round trip for really nothing.

I'd call them up and be like "Listen here, you're going to test my son, like right now, and then you're going to examine the findings, with us in the room, or I'm going to beat you like a red-headed step-child, got it?

Ohh, and you're paying for our trip down too."

You might want to consider dialing it back a bit. A lot of these tests aren't completed in seconds, minutes or possibly even hours. And it's not just how long the scheduled tests take, it also depends on how backlogged the lab is.

I'm not excusing the behavior, but there can be a lot going on behind the scenes that you may not be aware of.
 
I have to admit, I was upset and frustrated. But I understand there is a certain path to follow in this. It did seem that the appointment was unnecessary for us to attend. We could have exchanged 96% of the information over the phone. The other 4% was he checking him out, looking for bodily indicators of a genetic syndrome.

The kid is 100% healthy and we have that to be grateful for. We just want to know if there's something wrong with him. It all started when we noticed a jiggling in his eyes around a month old. It's called vertical nastagmus. It was first thought to be from his eyes struggling to focus and would go away as he got older. At his 6mo check up, the problem persisted and we had an eye exam. They found him extremely farsighted and put him in glasses. He now refuses to wear them, but his nastagmus seems to have reduced dramatically. We were trying to get to the bottom of the nastagmus and started testing for retinitus pigmatosis, the condition Meganne's mom has. Thus far tests have been inconclusive mostly due to his age. As he gets older, his eyes will develop into being able to be tested easier and more accurately.

We just assumed there would be some blood drawn or DNA taken at the very least. We gained very little, but I'm sure they gained much more than we did. Which is ultimately what is more important. It's better to get no mixed answers now with a confirmed answer later.
 
Phil (Max-bilt) had that (vertical nastagmus) as a kid, and his son, Jaxson (1yr old end of the month), has it as well...

At least I'm sure that's what they had/have.... Maybe hit them up and what they know??
