Important

try 2800 @ 55.

I too have considered the water/meth, but does it really make a difference on a N/A diesel?

87 "run it on the governor" manche

And 2700 rpm at 70 mph made me sell the F450 with 4.88s...

In hot mode on my burner my 6.4 will lay four black marks between 2 and 3 and will start going slideways on dry pavement.

mac 'maybe a dyno someday' gyvr

Guess I should not complain about the 2k RPMs my CTD turns at 70mph.

I am turning @ 2300 rpms in the 2-fiddy at 70 mph...and that is w/ oversize tires to try and recalibrate the difference a bit. hell, I honestly dont really have complaints about it....if fuel is a reason why I cant drive it then I really should not own it.

Cheese "it's just money :D" Man

tyler have you checked that with your gps...

bigger tires equal wrong speedo reading...

mac 'so is it really 70' gyvr

Same for a CTD, 1,600-1,900 is the sweet spot. Every extra 100 RPMs really starts to suck fuel over 2,000 RPMs.

Really....? Really, dude.....? Glad you missed the point worrying about a typo. It was dinner time, the table was set and I was trying to bang out the post before going to the table. Gimme some slack.

The only one who missed the point was you... Extreme Credit Card Shopping gave Naxja exactly what Naxja paid for....Why anyone would expect them to spend their resources to promote anything that isn't giving them stuff? They are a business plain and simple.. they are in the business of providing an advertising outlet. The companies that get mentioned constantly are the ones spending the money to get mentioned. Naxja wants their name mentioned... write them a check..

My new to me 99 was great from Madison to my parents. Pulled out of their drive and heard grinding when applying the brakes. I took it easy and figured a pad had separated. Well I pulled the drivers side apart Saturday and found the p.o had used washers behind the rotors instead of using the proper cast 99 rotors. So I bought two new rotors today. After work I completed the driver side no problem. The passenger side is a bit difficult as the p.o snapped a stud off and put a bolt and nut through the wheel to hide it, also did the washers behind the rotor and put only the upper caliper bolt in due to the hole being drilled out and wallowed out on the knuckle so the threads never grabbed, the bottom bolt was not even threaded in at all for the caliper. Thank God I made it home alive with no problems. I'm pissed at myself for not catching it when I bought it. It never made any noise or anything and did not pull at all. :flamemad:

Anyone have a Dana 30 passenger steering knuckle for sale?

Beginning to think that a complete Dana 30 w 3:55 ratio would be the way to go as the pad guides on the drivers knuckle are grooved.

How hard of a bolt would I need to through bolt with a nut on the inboard side have to be? Just so I can move it around my yard for now till I get a knuckle or complete Dana 30.

Do you know who the PO is? I would be looking for an ass to kick.

I hear yah. Two issues, one I bought it as is, and the second being it's 4 hours away. I'm grateful I did not kill anyone although I'm pissed I was taken and did not see it.

Jeepman wish I was closer, I have at least two or three sets of d30 knuckles I don't care about... and another coming off an axle I am converting to WJ knuckles in a few weeks.

Being I need to replace both knuckles would I be better off replacing with WJ knuckles? I do not plan to lift it and did just put new rotor's on there already.
It will be used for towing my pop up camper, boat and for plowing.

Thanks for the offer Kastein. I understand the distance thing.

nothing like getting thrown under the bus.....at least I kind of saw the bus coming this time....who needs enemies when you have "friends" like mine :banghead:
