Well now its all quiet in here.

worked for a couple hours tonight on project Red Rocket. I have started on both bumpers, I just lacked focus this evening and was not into it. I am back in the house chillin with Case watching Iron Man 2.

Well.. they cut us back to regular 40 hours today.... Here's hoping there are no more cuts this year. We still haven't completely dug out of the hole from last years disaster-fest.

Even if I end up on fur-cation again, I don't think I would ever be able to catch Mac.

off to finish cutting the worst corn that we have ever grown....it looks like there is only 12 acres left and then a small 20 acre field of beans and we are done for the season...be glad to have this year in the books....

Have fun with that. I had to come to work for 4 hours today. They'll get about an hours work out of me! :D

Union. And you wonder why inflation and cost of living is so high. I'm not singling you out Aaron, I'm pointing to ALL the lazy ass union workers.

:soapbox:

Trust me we aren't UAW. We work for the most part but I had to wait on parts and the job I'm doing today is super easy. My normal job gets a good 6 hours of work out of me a day. Even if I do slack off I make sure the job is done. Can't say that for all my coworkers because some of them are idiots. I really wonder how they got their shoes tied sometimes! its not all the workers, management makes some retarded decisions here. Plus, this job beats the hell out of the other options around here.

Oh an 11111 posts! :D

Went and looked at the pole-barn house I was talking about. Most of the rooms are smaller. I've still got a few doubts but overall I think it's the cheapest way to get what I want. And it sounds like the guy will rent it to me while I get my house sold, which definitely helps the process.

In the meantime, went out to start the truck and the starter is finally shot. In the process of pulling it out, the stud for the hot lead actually broke off of the solenoid, and then while removing the broken stud from the lug on the battery cable, it was so corroded that it bent in half. So I'm waiting on the oh-so-cheap one-piece cable that connects both batteries, the starter, and the rest of the truck. Never a dull moment.

A few years ago, I discovered that the positive battery clamp on my 94 XJ had split, while I was up visiting Dad for a week. I stopped at a couple of dealerships to see about an OEM replacement (was driving by both of them, easy to stop in,) and found out that neither had it in stock, was  expensive, and was a week away. I called my friendly Jeep parts pusher where I lived, he had it in stock, and would overnight it to me for about half of what the dealerships were asking. Oh, and just stop in to pay for it when I get home.

Pays to know these people.
