She loves em. It doesn't really show in that pic, but the old ones were just "chrome plated" plastic covers. Really, the only ugly thing on the jeep...

And I think we've remedied that nicely...

But I was talking to my brother-in-law about replacing the bumper ends with red. You're right, painting would be easier, and we should do the door strip, too...

take off the end caps and hit em with Krylon Fusion, its for plastic and mine have held up all winter long even with the salt!

I suggest cleaning up the door trim while its on there (unless it is peeling).

there should be a little gap between it and the car, slip the newspaper in there till it hits the double sided tape. Then tape it all off and hit it with the krylon.

I took mine off to do this. HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS getting all that sticky crud off the trim and the Jeep then double siding it back on!

then presto you got a brand new looking jeep! :cheers:

We were just looking at them monday, and I think she's leaning toward red.

We figure maaco ought to get close enough to the factory red. And it wouldn't have to be perfect to look better than it does now.

We'll see...
