there it is fellas. i'm broke, and i have some projects i need to get underway, along with getting gifts for the family.
i'd also work in trade for a good, running 4.0
i couldn't find anywhere to try to sell my shotgun, since a pawnshop would rip me off, so i'm gonna hafta do this craigslist mechanic work thing again. my # is 731-217-6444, or you could pm me. i doubt any of you guys need me, but if you know anybody who needs anything i could do, pass this on.:guitar:

If you lived closer, I could...

A: Find a buyer (maybe myself) for that shotgun.

B: Give you some mechanics work (I need some and don't have the time myself).

C: Show you a running 4.0L with 75,000 miles for $250.

yeah, well, thanks for lookin at my thread, man! if you wanted to have your ride towed to murfreesboro, i could fix it and drive it to you! not sure if i'd be able to ship a shotgun, or if you'd be able to ship a motor, but maybe we'll cross paths sometime...

FYI you know that link thingy at the top of this page, it no work very well :badpc:

what motor? i'll do it for half of what any other mechanic tells you, since i don't have a shop, or licensure, plus gas to come to clarksville, unless you wanna bring it to the boro...

yeah man, i'd be glad to. is it 4x4? i'm a little worried that the wear in the main bearings might cause it to leak even after a seal change, so i would recommend new crank bearings while i'm in there. but i'll do whatever you want me too on that one. the last one i did still leaked a little at first, but after a while it just about stopped, even without swapping the bearings. it'll be half the cost of whatever mechanic you talk to, plus parts and gas. i can call for an estimate, but i don't have the labor manual to know what to charge right off hand. my goal is to save you money, and make a little for myself.

Nope, it's 2WD.

I haven't gotten any price estimates from anybody yet. How much longer would it take to replace the crank bearings?

it's cool man. i don't need the money as bad as i thought, because i just found out the knocking under my hood was from a worn out harmonic balancer, not a bad engine. now i just need a balancer, not a whole motor! woot! i'd still be glad to help you get your stuff fixed, though. i'm just not dying like i thought i was:D

Awesome! Glad to year that! I was worried for ya...I hate seeing people get hit hard on the holidays. Mostly because I've been there.
