Illinois Flare Laws

I have the fronts on but none on the back. If it was a problem the locals would let me know, since they like to keep telling me about the bumper height. JIM.

truthfully i have NEVER had a problem in Will County for anything related to my jeep (no doors, lift height, no front bumper for about 3months, no flares and my tires sticking out about 2"-4" depending on what jeep i was driving and what tires i had on at that time)

maybe cops around my part dont care or have better things to do then pull a kid over in a jeep:dunno:

I also make trips to Iowa City and dont a problem with my current xj with the tires sticking about 2" out and didnt have a problem in IL or IA

BTW im in Joliet

Incorrect...sort of.

Yes that section requires the entire rear tire to be covered. But that is in the second division vehicle section. That covers commercial vehicles, not personal ones.

Well for several years I drove with 31's and stock flares and stuck our problably an inch and never had a problem. Now I'm running 33's and wheel spacers with no flares. I'll see how it goes...
