If you had to choose....60 vs 44

That is kind of what I thought........

I was just poking at ya, lol. $40 was a dang good price for that work. The actual boring job isn't hard at all, but lugging that heavy housing around and getting it swept in for an accurate job was well worth the price you paid. I'd have probably let them do it too to avoid all the work haha

Ah, I meant I would sell the whole axle and side gears for $80, not just the shafts and side gears. I worded it poorly when I was focused on homework this afternoon.

I will probably take you up on it. I found a little damage on my housing that I could possibly fix, but if I need to bore the spindles out too I'd probably better off starting with yours. Add to the fact that they turned out to be 3.73's instead of 4.10's (but I expected that ahead of time) and I'll have to regear them anyway.

So yours is already the right size for the 35 spline shafts, correct?

The E350 60's will fit a 35 spline shaft without boring the spindles. There basicly aD60 housing with D70 tubes/spindles/hubs

Ok next question.....

37x12.50 is what I think I will run due to the low cost and close proximity of a military tire outlet. They sell the H1 beadlock wheels for a good price, and they also sell pressed centers so I can recenter them myself. I'll most likely use the tires for cost reasons, plus they have 4 different styles to choose from. They'll get me by for a while, and I may get crazy and experiment with a tire groover on them.

That being said, 4.88, 5.13, or 5.38 gears? Will the 5.38 pinion be on the dangerously small side in the 44?

5.38, I wouldn't even bother with anything else.

My rpm's are a touch over stock and it's really nice in 4 low.

I wouldn't use h1 beadlocks and military 37's on a 44 unless you want to break stuff. That combination is heavy.

They do. I've read a few threads on whether or not they're stocked. It's just my opinion, but I'd rather have something other than those brands.

Never had a issue with Pitbull, Interco on the other hand was months out. Is my Stazorks wernt so much money I would of gone different rim size but I can say I love my Rockers

Not to mention the military tires suck off road way to stiff and to hard if a compound.

They have 4 different tires to choose from:

36x12.50 Wranglers (which we all know are pretty bad)
37x12.50 original MTR's
37x12.50 MTR Kevlar Dura-Wall (which I currently run in a 33x12.50)
37x12.50 BFG Baja T/A

Yes. The SX's I wanted were 4-6 weeks out according to interco.

I could get Pitbull's all day long, but you're either getting a 37x13.5 or a 42x15.5. IIRC, the 37 was pretty pricy and heavier when I looked at it compared to the 38.5 SX's I wanted.

That dude in Gainesville/ dahlonega sells 12b's for dirt cheap. If you just end up with the wheels from there, I'll also give you the stock rubber runflats for like $20 for all 4. I didn't want to cut them down and I opted for the PVC inserts from TWF. I know glenn had an issue with one at gulches, not sure what happened. I never even put mine together. TWF has a good deal on the inserts, rock rings, recenters, and the 45* adapters you need for the valve stems when running full rock rings. I saved a lot with free shipping during a sale. The wheels can get expensive quick. Add up the totals for what you want and compare that to others before committing. I luckily got almost all my money back out of them when I sold my H1's. I thought I would have them forever with the 8x170 BP.

I paid $225 a wheel for my racelines at KOH. If you can find someone to talk to the reps and make that happen, you just need to get them a ride home.

I know that when I talked to TWF about 4 H1 wheels with all the jazz, they were at least that expensive.

Yea it broke. Back to metal.....

I just got a quote on 4 Racelines for $999.00 to my door. My H1's were $200 for all 4 + $125 for the centers. I used .5 round to strengthen the edges. I think that was maybe $50. That is no where near about as much. My only beef with the 16.5 is no one makes a sticky for them.

12 bolt H1's are $40/each, pressed centers are $25/each. Plus they're local so no shipping. I dunno what I'd do about rings, but I'm sure I could figure something out, and I'd most likely just do the rebar ring on the outer.

My biggest thing right now is that I'm not made of money and I've always made do with what I had to work with. I've never had the latest and greatest equipment on my trail rigs, but I've always had enough to have fun and that's the direction I'd like to stay. I guess I'm just not "into it" enough any more to justify spending huge amounts of money on a trail beater :(

Yea same here Mike. I looked at the rebar but it was just as much as the round stock. I just want a different tire that grips better.

What are you using now for inner rings? I see you said "back to metal".

The factory Magnesium. They are not that heavy. The rim however is.......
