If I were looking for an XJ D44

...I would go to the Pick n pull on Stockton Blvd. in Sac, and look under a light blue 4.0L 4-door XJ with a foctory swingout tire carrier. But that's just me. Also, if I were looking for a Waggy 44 or two, I'd head down to that same PnP and look over at the Waggys.

phil, those take 20 minutes to pull (done it and timed it), cost $155 (w/ tax and no return policy), and sell within a week or two for $300-400. Why didn't you grab it? If I wasn't heading back to Michigan early tuesday I would go get it.

Phil, U are a good guy for revealing the info about that axle. I did the same thing when I found 1 at James autowreckers in Antelope, but that 1 would cost $300 to extract. U can get a 44 from pnp for about 1/2 that. Hopefully someone who needs it will grab it. I could use it for the 89' xj I'm selling. Do you know if the xj had a manual or auto?

man i wish i had the money i would hella pick up one of those waggys

The waggys are nice, but U can find those just about anywhere, anytime. The xj rear 44 is not so easily found and demands a high price if someone knows what they have for sale.

I think it had an auto.

I'm a lazy fxxx, but if someone wants to drop off a case of beer for me for saving them a couple hundred bucks, that'd be cool. :D

......I'd buy it from Big Red :laugh3:

I just grabbed 1 from there (South Sac pnp) this weekend from a 87' 2 tone maroon/silver xj that I'm selling. Took me a little longer than 20 minutes to extract it, I had a problem with the e-brake cables. I had to cut them out. Heck a person with a lift over 4" or so cannot use the stock e-brake cables anyways. The xj 44 I got is for sale in the "for sale" section if anyone wants it, sorry for the mark up. :laugh3:

I guess Phil is the only one to hook a brotha up....

Maybe you should change your name to "One Way"

I'm not going to argue with you Bryan. I saw it and pulled it. I posted up no less than 5 times on here in the past when I saw a xj 44 in Sacramento for sale. This was my pot of gold. :)

You can use the stock e-brake cables. You'll need to relocate the bracket ends, but they work great. Too bad you cut them...
