figured as a part of my pre JV maintainance, i'd change the rear diff fluid yesterday, as it had been about 6 months. Found this......

damn it.

Just got to sort it out tomorrow, so i can still leave a 6 on Tuesday morning.

Your supposed to change diff oil? I thought you only changed that when it comes apart for broken parts. That one has a few more teeth to break before it needs an oil change.

So I am running 5.13s with Dana 44s and this is what I kinda expect in a couple of years with me behind the wheel.

Hey that's enough out of you... The JK axles I am running are supposed to be stronger because of the larger pinion. That is why I went to such a deep gear. Anyway between Superior and Quadratech they accidently sent me two sets for the price of one, so one set is on the shelf for spare.

You are thinking more of the Dana 30. The 44 is WAY better in the 5.13 range.

Keep in mind most of the BOTW crew ran the 5.13 (and some 5.38) on a dana 44 and no one had any issues.
