i think my seal went out

i was out looking for tires, and when i got home i heard something sizzling. and look what i find.

And what about the fluid from the diff area?

oh i check my diff fluid it make sure i dint run low the plug sorta slipped from my hands and a bit spilled out

Just an idea but have you checked your brake fluid yet? It could be a bad wheel cylinder to. Just a thought.

I am guessing you checked and made sure it was diff grease? It could be brake fluid.... I have had wheel cylinders leak and the leak looked really similar.

its really diff grease and its really an axle seal.....too bad he cant get the axle out easily

I just pulled the axle out a little bit and put some RTV around the seal and it stopped leaking.

so i did some reading because i thought only full floating axles (non C Clip) had roll pins instead of bolts in the carrier, turns out a D44 is a non C Clip axle....i feel more dumb the more i read

yea, eric told me it had a roller pin... so yea, i'll be bringing it up sometime that i can before ROM.
