I need some opinions for a daily driver

And don't get the impression rock crawlers don't go fast... a lot of the crawlers here move way faster than a lot of the 'go fast' rigs do.

Thats because most the go fast rigs aren't ever finished......JIM!!!!! hahaha

I'm building mine to be a hybrid type. I'm running 7100s with resis, prothane progressive bumps up front (need to get some bumps out back), 3 link, Deaver coils, and RE leafs (til I can afford Deavers). I've got a D44 rear, locked with alloys and discs, and 4.88s all around. I need to beef my front axle, it's still a stock D30 minus the 4.88s. I DD it on 33s with really stiff shocks up front and no sway bars and it handles fine. I think I need an O2 sensor though or something, cuz I only get 12 mpg.

I daily drove on 35's and 6.5" lift for several years with no problems. I handled the jeep like it was a newborn kitten, and would baby it on the trail. It was never jumped, and rarely did the engine exceed 2500 rpm's.

sigh. i need to start inviting you new kids out on my runs more often.

It was of a blue/white xj crawling in big bear. Had full widths. It was sick as hell.

The more I watch crawling videos, the more I want to try it lol. I think I may make the switch. I wanna see how it is up at So-Cal fest & then make a decision.

The red/white/blue rig belonged to '4xSanta', who sold it to another member here a few months ago. IIRC it is olive drab now.

SilverSLK used to drive a black XJ, but decided he likes unicorns more than girls, so sold it to buy a bronco.
