Well there is no need for bump stops.

i've been thinking. im looking at total price if i bought then hade them installed... i wonder if could just buy tires then mount them. and go get them ballanced. it would save a couple hundred. and i could get 33's!!!!

Yes, mounting is easy! I did my 33's with two of the stock lug wrenches that come with XJ's. :)

Then you can balance using sandblasting glass beads or, like JR did, airsoft bb's. Here's a chart with the amounts to use:

For the guys who have done this, I've always wondered what it does to road noise. It seems like having 6 oz of plastic bb's rolling around could get noisy.

JR has said that he can hear the airsoft beads...I've heard that the sandblasting beads cannot be heard.

Flores is right though, I have trouble hearing my radio over the singing of my MT's. I'm not sure that I'd be able to hear anything from inside the tire.

thats not too bad... Cost me more for my 32 A/Ts but I did also get rims.

I had no luck balancing my 33's with 8oz of airsoft pellets in each tire. I had a bad wobble at 40-45mph. I replaced the track bar and looked at the rest of the suspension and checked the alignment and all was good.

I took the airsoft pellets out and am currently running with no balance weight at all and it actually drives a lot better and no more 40-45mph wobble.

I have probably mounted over a hundred different tires by hand. Its not that hard. Most of the time I did it myself just because I was impatient.
