you suck............. nice black guns ;) i carry an xd40 subcompact and love it, ive thought about getting a fullsize one in a .45.

the dpms stuff is kickin. I probably wont put together an AR this year, ill probably wait until i graduate and can afford it. Right now im trying to expand the collection to stuff thats easier on the wallet to shoot. Her 9mm is fun and the 7.62 for the mosin is cheep but i may get a nice .22 so i can shoot more than once a month

These are my first guns. I have shot an XD 45 before and liked it so I got the XDM 45. Then being in the Navy, I have shot the M16 a few times and wanted something to play with at home. Next gun will be a magazine fed, folding stock shotgun. But, I'm happy for now.

ahhh first firearms!..... if your into em like i am they definitely wont be your last.... i have a 14 gun safe that needs filling up ;)

Yeah, it definitely wont be my last. Like I said, shotgun next, then either a 9mm or a larger bore AR.

I showed up, and saw the line, thought no way in the hell I was standing there when I had no intentions of buying a gun. I was just going to look around... maybe get some stickers...

I want an M14....

I want an M14....

theres one with synthetic furniture and probably over 1k worth of optics and various accessories sitting on the counter at the gun shop down the street.... they want 3.5k for it. I had a moment just looking at it, i have absolutely no use for it whatsoever but i still want it :dunno:

No more M14? That would be a sad sad day:tear:

ive never served but i think they still use the m14 on a special issue basis? However a lot of gaps are being bridged thru higher power chamberings in the AR platform nowadays. .308 and the 6.8 spc are doing more midrange sharpshooting work than the m14's of old.

take what i say with a grain of salt, im not super sure on it but its what ive been hearing

I want a small 9 mm for concealed, but around Portsmouth I like ta open carry the XDM.

The M14 is being used by some designated marksman in the EMR stock by Fulton Armory(?). Really sick looking and very expensive.

Very nice! Be careful not to put a polymer sight on that gas block. It gets hot enough to melt them. What optic are you going with? Oh and good choice with the .45acp. I won't carry anything but a .45, it just sucks for practice money wise.

I traded for this sucker today:

Sig 516. Piston operated. I don't like to sh1t where I eat :) ARMS BUIS, Sig red dot, USGI vertical grip, Magpul MOE furniture, 1->2 point sling. I am very happy.

Here is the "fat rat" (or so it has been named) with its cousin, a Del-Ton who will see a lot of range time together (my buddies rifle)

I'll have to get a picture of fat rat with its little sibling, the M&P 15-22. Doug, you need one. Loads of fun, I run through a brick of .22 in an a couple of hours, and only spend $20 to do so. Everyone who shoots it wants one (two friends have already bought their own).

I'm not sure what I'm doing for optics yet, havent made up my mind on flip up sights, a red dot or scope. I think I'm gonna go to the Virginia Beach Gun Show in February and look at a Glock 26 to use for my small concealed carry gun.

whatever optics you put on it i like to make sure the irons are still usable.... theyre hard to break ;)

as far as the glock 26 goes i highly recommend you shoot an xd subcompact before you make that purchase, i did and i was amazed (before that ive put a good 500 rounds through a glock 27 sub). first three rounds thru the xd i was sold on it

short "on the paper at 100 yards with iron sights and a 70 yr old rifle" xjdoug

No problems with the poly receiver? I tried the "colt" umarex, what a mistake that turned out to be!!!1

Nope with the .22 it doesn't have as much pressure. I have 1500 rds through it flawless. Don't foresee any issues with the polymer.

If you do flipup Buis make sure not to use a polymer unit such as the Magpul on the gas block, it will melt.

For an affordable red dot look at Primary Arms. They have gotten a lot of praise. We have one on the way to try on my buddies range toy.

If you are willing to spend the dough, there is nothing better IMHO than a EOtech. Mmm.
