I decided to waste some DOM yesterday...

come on now Jimmy tell the truth....1/2 welded tubes? let's see some pics. And if I remimber correctly you were to lazy to get your ass under it & install the rest of the bolts cause it was to much work as you said but guess you don't remimber that. You got what you paid for which was NOTHING so STFU & quite your:rattle:

Not being a hater, just telling it like it is.... My bumper is for looks, that's it. It's got an unsupported skid plate, half welded tubes, and held on by 2 bolts on each frame rail. It would fold like a taco as they say, if I ever made contact with anything.

Where can I get my free bumper then? Haha.
I'll have to start searching some threads on what exact materials and what lengths are used for a bumper. I think I might be being too liberal when it comes to prices. If I could just find someone with some remnants that might work too.

Oh I'm being nothing BUT truthful, I brought the unfinished welds to your attention and you told me to bring it back to fix it, but I didn't have the time to drive back down to OC and leave my Jeep there for 3 weeks again. And no, I wasn't too lazy to get my ass under there and put the "rest" of the bolts in. Welding nuts inside my frame rail along the front isn't going to make it any stronger, you know XJ's, at least you should, and it's weak as hell, there's no point for those bolts to be there.

And how bout the unsupported skid plate? What's the deal with that? I told you from day 1 I didn't like it, but you just do things your own way, eff what the customer wants. Orrrrr how bout the light tabs that are so crooked I have to have multiple shims under the light just to get it somewhat straight?

Since we're talking about your fab work, how bout the spot welded rock rails that cave into my door anytime I breathe on them wrong? Is that supposed to happen Billy? Or the rear bumper that looks nothing like what I told you to build? I can go on and on dude, just give up.

As for me not paying for it, that's BS, I told you in the beginning I didn't want to swap that motor with you or chad, but chad BEGGED me to trade it for fab work. That motor ran BITCHIN when I pulled it out, so it was obviously something you did to it, it's a rotary, they're tempermental.

backchannel guys?

back on topic......

i agree with ricks post. whether you've hit it on that area or not you should re-enforce those side bars, they offer no strength right now they way they are.

Well, with 1.75 dia. .120 wall DOM, I would think it would do well.I'm not talkin about slammin a rock wall, but it seem's like there are alot of bumpers being made w/ 1.5" Mild Steel.

sorry couldn't edit the original post for some reason

Back on track...

X2 buddy I think its pretty strong. Could be stronger but as I have said I know its limits and I don't plan on rocking it.

I got my bumper painted and got the skidplate mounted too.

I also cut the rear a little more so Jim should be happy about that.

Looks nice. I need to figure out what to do about my flare situation, I was thinking of getting fiberglass fenders like you have but those are way expensive.

Lookin' good. What size are the light's ?

6" Hellas. My friend doesn't need them right now so I threw them on for looks. I think eventually I'm going to get some of the checker 4" HID though.

It looks like you could almost get away with four 4" light's.

I was thinking three but well see. Three hids even at checkers price is steep for me.

They look pretty much the same as the checker hids but the checker comes with a clear lens cover. Thanks for the link Julio.
