I think it needs some sheetmetal on the top to close it in a bit and hide the ugly OEM front crossmember...
Other than that, looks great for a push bumper.
How much did the materials cost to make that? I really need a front bumper, however I need to find a place around here that has scraps or something, the quotes I got on materials were outrageous.Of course you want one, you live too far away to just have me make you one haha.

You need to add some support to the outside bars.
Ask me why I would know this....
How much? And what's wrong with it? Haha.Or he can buy my soon to be for sale OTRCrapwerks bumper...
Call IMS (Industrial Metal Supply) they usually have better prices than most if you complain about the price enough they'll lower it. Or you can try Patton Metals in Ontario. How much? And what's wrong with it? Haha.
I just need to find a place that won't charge me a bunch of money for materials. I have a welder and access to other tools I could use. I just want to build a very basic bumper. And tube flares.
Not being a hater, just telling it like it is.... My bumper is for looks, that's it. It's got an unsupported skid plate, half welded tubes, and held on by 2 bolts on each frame rail. It would fold like a taco as they say, if I ever made contact with anything.dont be a hater jim![]()

sorry couldn't edit the original post for some reasonBumper looks great! when I did my skid on my old white XJ I built a hoop from front swaybar mount to sway bar mount(1.25"x.120"dom) and tied the skid into that to make it all removable still whilst protecting all the steering stuff, I made sure to put a socket on my pitman arm etc so I did not HAVE to take the bumper off to work on all that stuff, it protected all my steering really well.......at least while it was parked in my driveway as it was most of it's life![]()
Looks awesome, anyone make a rear tube bumper? I am currently in the market for one
