Huge shout out..... XJ-Arnie

Words can not describe the gratitude I have for what Arnie did for me and my friend tonight. Got frame deep showing off for my girlfriend and her friend and was basically S.O.L within minutes. Buddy who was wheelin with me pulls his xj up to pull me out...... and yes, he gets stuck.

3 HOURS LATER. I am starting to panic.... The girls are cold and scared and my buddies xj is sputtering heavily because he is on maybe a thimble of gas. My jeep is so sideways in a puddle/rut that my maybe gallon or so in gas is sloshed to the side of the tank and i`m running out of gas/ heat for people. Its 27 degrees and windy and all we have is a chinese come-a -long and branches...

I soon realize we are in a decent amount of trouble and I call about 15 people in my phonebook... amazing how you really find out who your real friends are when you are in need. Now here is where I call Arnie from this site. I have met him ONE time when I bought a rusty`s skid plate off of him.

I call him in a fit of desperation and explain I am hella stuck with two XJ`S, cold and scared girls, almost zero recovery equipment,and gas lights are both on in the two rigs. WITHOUT hesitation he jumps into his monster xj, drives 25+ miles all the way to this trail, and proceeds to pull both of us out.

On top of it he did not want to accept a dime and was just happy to help. He is an outstanding member and i`m truly happy to be apart of the jeep family and have such willing people help at the drop of a hat. Sorry for the mushy rant but I am still floored how much he helped and for zero compensation. Hats off to you sir and a million thanks.atriot:

This is why I'm glad I'm a member of . I know if I get in a predicament someone here will come help me out. Arnie is a cool dude in my book already but even more so after this. And I agree with Cheeseman, pics of the girls!

hahaha! I was just F'n with Dan from a previous discussion that we had a while back about eDrama and web emotion...hence why I did not put smileys etc in my post..it all can be taken so many ways....if I am in a very seroius mood, my discussions are handled via PM or phone calls before assbaggery hits the boards...

Now back to the original poster...we want pics of the girls for proof or we may thing you are driving a sausage wagon full of dudes out back roading!!

I met Arnie at one of our local club meetings last summer at tonys subs, and yes ---top notch guy and a monster XJ too.
