How to make my rig look less soccer mom like...

Another thing you can do to change your jeep's personality is swap out the stock muffler. Stock XJ exhaust sounds like a dying ford pinto. Any aftermarket performance muffler will make it sound meaner.

anything but a v8 should NOT have a loud exhaust. the only exception is a grand national. inline motors just sound like ass, there is no meaness about them.
the previous owner of my jeep put on a flowmaster, it just sounds like a camry with an exhaust leak. it's going away as soon as i figure out how i have to route the exhaust to clear the 4 link.

Get mud on it & quit washing it. Boggers would help.:patriot:

The most noticeable Mod you can do is tires. 30 inch mudders will definitely change the look of your station wagon!

Started with more lift. Around 4" lift now. Took front bumper off and as soon as I fix the Steering box bolts that broke I will throw on my Bumper/brush guard combo.

larsen, are those Bushwackers or knock offs? I ask just bc they look glossy almost. thanks

Agreed, that doesnt look like a 4" lift... when I first did mine with 32x11.50's and a 3" lift it had a little more room in the wheel wells than whats pictured. Id measure it out and check factory specs to see where your really at...

When I did my 3" I measured before and after, I gained 4.5 front, 5.75 in the rear. But I was saggin pretty bad front and rear pre-lift. The rear looked like I was towing an invisible trailer. And in the front 265/75/15 (if I remember right, like a 28" size?) tires were barely lower than the top of the fender opening
