I actually saw two fully grown men riding one of those things down KY highway 178 the other day. You could hardly see the bike under them and it looked like it was only going about 15mph. I guess thats the way they do things in good ol' Kentucky!

Thats hilarious, like Dumb and Dumber. :D

hey fergie 2.24 at texico over on east side next to maverick past the mall
I'm never on that side of town, at least by that area anyway.

The Mavs are pretty cheap, but so is the Conoco next to Varsity Gasser.

All the Chevrons have the most expensive prices in town.

My ass.

Russia has massive oil reserves, but has yet to figure out a way to get it to the coasts in an effective manner.

There are also very large deposits beneath the ocean, and companies are rushing to design rigs to drill that deep.

You do know that the oil companies are getting record profits.

Crap...we just broke the $3.00 mark, albeit premium... Our run down is $3.09 for premium, $2.99 for mid grade, $2.89 for reg...

we are at $2.19 for regular.. I thought that was high, till I saw CA and Canada prices.. ouch.
I wish Science and Tech could come up with a synthetic alternative.. like BioDiesel... there has to be something out there....

One plus for living on the Island....how far can you REALLY go one way ?

Huh? Our cars still need fuel, no matter how far in any one direction we can travel. The only upside is it helps keep the "down sounders" away... no use for those spoiled crazies around here. :D

I understand that....at least you north island sounders are confined! :D

just saying a "round Trip" on the island should still leave you with 7/8ths of a tank.

On base here it is 2.41 as of yesterday after work. Might be up again by today, I didn't look. It depresses me...
I know that whole China thing has already been debated (sort of) but if you have a nation of over 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) people who have suddenly started snapping cars up like its cool, you can expect a sudden spike in demand at which point the supply would have to catch up. So it could be China...And as has been pointed out, we're still paying nothing compared to other nations. I must say I do miss the days when I could fill my Tracker for $9...$0.87/gal back in 98.
