how much is your gas!!!

$.99......A new Sheetz just opened and to celebrate gas is $.99 for two days. Course the line is about two days long so I gues it balances out. Everywhere else it is $2.13.

$2.19 over here i think.......I dont really look anymore. I just slap like $5 or $10 in her every day. (can't fill past 1/2 tank or it'll leak out....I guess I oughta get that fixed) I think this weekend stock tires are going back on her.

i think it's time to buy a $300 pocket bike and get 100/mpg!!!

Yeah, about that $2.59/gallon figure I mentioned earlier... Be glad you're not in California, because it's currently $2.61/gallon. I'll be looking for a new fuelling point tomorrow.

Why the hell do we (meaning Californians) allow ourselves to keep being shafted? This is stupid: as opposed to exporting our worst ideas to the rest of the country as we currently do, we should be actually be upholding the things that make us Americans.

I think we many be trying to chase you guys Casm, cause we're getting close to that. Wonder if putting a little more air in my rear shocks and rakeing the truck will help milege a little :dunno:

I hear you... I'm just sick of us exporting the bad ideas that our f***ing wonderful State Legislature sees as the best way to interfere in everyone's life to the rest of the country.

Hey, fellow Californians... Thanks for the apathy. This country may not be like the rest of the country, but that does not make us superior to anyone else in the Union.

I paid $2.19 last night for 87. I don't get it, Georgia has always had cheaper gas than everywhere else. This is some serious BS, I feel for some of you guys that get really bad gas mileage. I get pretty good mileage for an XJ and it still hurts.

man I love my 2.5 MJ more and more every day.........around 30 mpg highway at 70 mph

Ya know if everyone drove an average of 5 MPH less than they do now in the US we would reduce consumption by 7.5% (avg) (like actually driving the speedlimit instead of the 5 mph buffer)

Research indicated that speed above 50 mph increases fuel consumption by 1 1/2 percent for each mile per hour. A truck, which averages 8 mpg at 50 mph, will average 6.8 mpg at 60 mph.

That would mean about 1 gallon of gas per 2 tanks savings. multily that by the # of vehicles in the US and it equates millions of gallons of gas in savings each year. That would drive up reserves and down prices.

I tried it for several months in my MJ. tried to always drive 5 mph over posted speed limit for 30 days and tracked miles dirven and fuel bought

Then drove actual speed limit for 30 days and did the same tracking

on average I got an extra 2.5 mpg better when doing teh osted speed limit

and the difference in driving from flagstaff to lake havasu city in teme was only 17 minutes (actual driving time, not including stops)

The more you drive on the highway the better the results

Paid 2.24 last night...

need to get my VW working again so I can switch off cars and get better milage on my longer trips..

I just bought the XJ and the gas cost is actually 2X+ what it was for my little 2.0 4 banger..

Crapola!

I actually saw two fully grown men riding one of those things down KY highway 178 the other day. You could hardly see the bike under them and it looked like it was only going about 15mph. I guess thats the way they do things in good ol' Kentucky!

today is the first day in a week it did not go up!!! it's holding at $2.21 FOR NOW!

Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. Most places stayed at $2.40 (Citgo, Mobil, Shell, and Phillips 66), $2.29 in a few places (Marithon, Meijer, the Jewel Mom works at, one Citgo that is normally ALOT worse than most), and one $2.45 (a Mobil across the street from Mom's Jewel.) Hopefully this is a good sign, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.
