 this just makes me sick, the price for reg. gas in MA is now at $2.16, is there a crude oil shortage??? WHY is going up & up? it went up like $0.17 in two days!
So how much is your local gas?

$2.15 for 89. Last I herd it would be up to $2.35 by memorial day.

$2.19 for the last month.

No biggie. Gas is just like elctricity and food...gotta have it, especially in a town without good public transpo.

If pay and prices go up, it is proportional....still the same...

i shoulda bought stock in exxon

$2.51/gallon for 87-octane here today, with about a 20c/gallon increase in the last 10 days. Anyone even remotely close to $2/gallon right now should count themselves lucky.

$2.05 Here. God I love New Hampshire (we don't have sales tax either)

it's no wonder so many people are on welfair, it's getting to the point where you'll work JUST to live, health ins. car ins. all gone up, food, gas, taxes, all gone up.
All i'm sayin is they need to help their own people, not our send money over seas!

You guys think that's bad, try gas in Canada or Europe.

92.5 a littre = about $3.51 CAN a US gallon even after the exchange rate about $2.90 US for a US gallon

Europe is about twice that...

No wonder they make them little cars

It's not a fair comparison, though. In most EU countries, approximately 80% of the cost of a litre of gas is tax.

No wonder they make them little cars

That and displacement-based road tax. Here's an example (.PDF format) of how we've been shafting drivers for decades.

And having just run out to pick up some food, I note that gas prices have gone up another 2c/gallon at the station I filled up at eleven hours ago. We should really be betting on this.

You realize that only 19% of the country is below the poverty level, and only 4% of that group are on welfare.

exactly. sure it sucks but you gotta have it, and in the end the amount it cost you is really not all that significant.

oh and gas is 2.18 here, a 9 cent jump from yesterday. my friend owns a gas station and they said there prices are going up several cents a day and that most stations are just cushioning the rise depeding on what they paid for the gas

Hey Beached Bones, you should come out west. Earlier I paid 100.4 for 89 and as I was driving home just now 87 was at 102.7.

do we need to send you $$$ for gas too?

Gas here in the poconos, 217.9,
Allentown 20mi south, 205.9
Phillipsburg NJ, 30 mi south at Hess on sunday 189.9
We need a witch hunt started up in washington, the threat of which back in the 70's brought gas prices down overnite. Gonna have a cascade effect soon, I've already had to cut eating out, movies, buying extras. Unlike europe this countrys economy is gas and diesel based. I've had to raise my hourly rates and spend an additonal $50 a week on average per week on fuel. The oil industry is making more profit than they ever have in their history, profits are up over 300% at mobil/exxon. Guess it also might be a side effect of low interest rates and a somewhat poor stock market, the billionaires and investment people had to find some way to make money, gas is the lifeblood of the U.S., something people can't do without so they went there. The China excuse does not hold water that they are buying it all up and driving up prices.
I remember flying P3 Orions out of a NAS back in the 70's and seeing tankers anchored off the coast, 50-100mi out, parked, just waiting for the price per barrel to go up before pulling into the delaware to off load.
