How much have you spent on light upgrades?
New stock lights, conversions, bulbs, wiring harness upgrades, bumper lights, roof rack lights, Hid's etc.

20 for two chinee kcs
10 for an aurora reverse setup

won a wiring harness at a raffle
free rocklights from work
actual KC's came with the jeep, pounded the housings out with a sandbag after the roll, reflectors were intact

so $70 ish? were scoring it like golf right?

Im trying to convince myself to buy those new LED lights from truck-lite.
I've never done any of those mods except for stock replacements. So I wanted to see how much people had spent on light up grades.
**Edit** I guess I did buy two procomp lights for $20 each.

If you got it, flaunt it. Those LED's are dope but pricey. If you try and justify it it's never gonna pencil out though. YOu can buy a couple sets of 4000's for the same price.

this, but i'd rather spend a few hundred bucks on suspension or tires or whatever before lights. upgraded headlight wiring and hella H4 conversion headlights is all i have and its good enough. sure, LED bars are cool and all but 4000s are cheap enough to get used and convert to HID.

i have 120 in a pair of hella 700ffs converted to HID and 200$ in 4 hella rally 4000s that I'll be converting to 55w HID eventually. gotta watch craigslist and race dezert for the deals and jump on em.

I realize now that I can't justify this purchase and if I do buy them it's just going to be because I wanted them. I'm going to think about it over the weekend and then we will see. I might mount two hella 4000's on my bumper, but I wouldnt want more then that. Too much drag with those parchutes haha.

I'll try to get you some before and after shots with my 700FFs with HIDs, you won't need much more light than that unless you're seriously racing, and the cost is not so prohibitive that you won't be able to afford it.

I've got Tony's HID kit. I bought it before the TruckLite units were out (just seeing them for the first time now actually) but being able to replace a broken housing for less than $50 versus $240 is reason enough to go with the BajaHID kit over the TruckLite kit. The total price tag is another (BIG) reason.

I've spent $40 on some sealed Silverstars, and (Christmas Present, not my cash) $135 on 2 pairs of Hella 500FFs, and 1 pair of Hella 700FFs. I put out plenty of light, and I love the look that my jeep has with 4 on top / 2 on the bumper.

I don't "go fast" though, only between trails.

EDIT: If your buddy wants to take up a sponsorship with the board, he can advertise his lights. However, it is unfair to our paying vendors, a number of whom sell high quality lighting solutions, for you to advertise for your buddy's lights.
