How many dog owners?

so how many own a dog?how many and what type? Do you take them out on the trails.


I own two just got the second one today.both are american bulldogs and were rescued. one male (Trent)7month's old one female(Sasha)1.5 years old.the female has done some creek crawling and she love's the jeep.will have to let Trent get comfortable with the jeep first. it a little harder for him to stand when i'm driving since he only has three legs two front one back.He lost it when he was hit by a car.

2 Bassett Hounds. 1 Gal & 1 Guy. Great dogs, good riders, love kids and cats. Super fast, they were bred for rabbit hunting. Look slow but noooo! Great heat source in the cold, Very easy to get along w/.:woohoo:

once i get my girl starts weight training she will be.my trainers american bulldog pulls about 1000lbs and he should be pulling 2800 by next year.so once she trains for two year i can use her to pull me when i'm stuck.:laugh:

I used to own a dog but he passed away 2 years ago. He was a hyper beagle when he was younger so we couldn't take him onto long trips. Literally a week before he passed away, I was packing for a beach trip and he was begging crazy hard to go. Like I have never seen him want to get in my car so much in his life as he did then. I packed him in and we enjoyed the rest of the day. I wish he was still around to let him see how he likes to ride in the XJ!

i have a 3 y.o pitbull, had him since he was a puppy, hes been wheeling since i got him, we took him out in my buddys tj the day after i brought him home

he still likes wheelin/jeep rides, but gets excited/scared when the jeep starts bouncing around an hitting thing. im actually taking him out on my clubs trail run tmr, my jeep isnt wheeable for now, so im guna walk the trail with him...

Dont take any of them out though, they would get far too messy, not to mention digging a dog out of a fox/rabbit/ ground hog hole is really not fun

We have three, two beagles, a 13" (Cleo) two yrs old and a standard (Taz) eleven yrs old. Then there is our three year old Heeler mix (Pepper). They are all rescues and go everywhere with us. The heeler is my hiking buddy and generally the one I take if I don't feel like play dog herder. That and she is good at letting me know when there is a bear around.

Had Bassets for years, still work recuing the breed. Like BobDog said don't underestimate their speed or their intelligence. They can disappear in an instant and are just stubborn not stupid. I still think they have about the best character of any breed.

I have a blue Pitbull named Moto who loves going wheeling!!! I am a dog lover and take Moto everywhere, he get's so damn excited. I really hate the reaction I get when I tell people I have a pitbull. I have never had a nicer, loyal, and great trained dog. He is a little high strung here and there but all and all he is a big baby!!! I've never saw a big dog like himself pee on peoples feet when he meets them for the first time, he just get's so damn excited to meet people who like him and pet him lol. Plus I have kids 1 older and newborn twins.... Moto is like there damn body guard. He actually sleeps under the twins crib at night like he's keeping guard, and my 12 year old will ride him like a horse.... he loves it!!!

people get the same way with my bulldog.some ask if she is a pitbull and look scared when they ask. it's not the dog it's the owner.not everyone should raise the bully bread but raised right you will never find a better dog. i was bitten on the hand buy a black lab you know the dog everyone thinks is nice and well behaved. the owner's didn't know how to raise a dog.sasha might be in the pin up for pit bulls calender with are trains bulldog and a huge pit bull that makes yours ^ look like a puppy. he is a sweet dog to.

My thoughts exactly!!! The best part is when people who have no clue, see him and say how pretty he is and then pet him.... then they ask what he is... once I say pitbull they will back up lol, after they already pet him and say how well behaved he is lmao. If you tie a dog to a tree out back and pay him no attention he's going to be a mean dog and want to be agressive.... If you treat them with love and like they are part of the family they will love the attention and be great dogs. I swear Moto think's he's a human and one of the kids..... he will literally go pout in a corner if he can't do something that the kids are doing, he actually get's his feelings hurt lol.

i agree on hating peoples reactions once they hear spooky is a pitbull, its even worse when they pet him, an let him give them kisses an such, then jump back an act timid once i say he is a pure breed pitbull. but its good once they realize hoq friendly the breed really is, an makes them change there view on the breed

i raised him like he was any other kinda dog, an he is the best dog i have ever had, hes hyper, stuborn, an actls/thinks hes a person. but those charecteristics are the reason i bought that breed. i currently live in my grandparents house, an b4 i moved back in, they where anti pits, he had 2 be caged whenever i left an so on. now he is my grams couch cuttle buddy, an my grandfathers best friend, an dont even get me started on how protective he is, of every 1 in my house, even my gf. we cant fight or even yell at eachother when hes around.

so anyways, i did take him wheeling today, was like a 6 mile trail (walked for atleast 6 hours) an he was loved/ an loved every 1 there, only thing he hated an barked at where the jeeps that didnt make the rock faces they tried, was quiet funny lol
had him on a 30" lead, an he loved every min in the woods
