Is there a writeup for this anywhere? I want to run a cheap fan again, but using the stock one to supplement when on the trails.scoobyxj said:You know you could have made your own for less than $5 in parts don't you.

I there are writes on how to do it all over the place. For a 2000 all you need is a piece of wire, a switch, and a diode. You can use the factory relay, and wiring. I don't have access to my FSM right now, but when I get home I can get you info on what needs done.BBeach said:Is there a writeup for this anywhere? so does my honda civic hybrid, even if the electric fan was off when you parked, as soon as you turn the key off it comes on for a few minutes. I'm thinking of adding a circuit to my XJ to do the same thing, promotes even cooling and discourages hot spots, good for long aluminum heads.87manche said:newer VW's do that, runs for about 2 minutes after you turn it off.

Onkover said:I've driven mine with no hood at all. Still got hot. Don't think either the vents or spacers are going to matter much. I have hopped up the cooling system. CSF 3core, 3300 CFM electric main fan replacement, 97 aux fan replacement on a switch, Flow kooler water pump, Rock-it bored out thrmo housing, High Flow 195* stat new hoses all around, new heater valve last year and and and... Still having issues.
