i would rather not try to custom make my own, not that talented. these things are beefy and i love the latch set up on them. very happy with them. when the kids get older, i'll get the back set too. my next purchase for them will be the padding with the zippered storage. i don't need the mesh cover, i just love the look of the pad set up.

I just wish the tubes filled the whole frame, so that I could put soft sides and roll-up vinyl windows on them.

A little pricey, but very nice looking tube doors. Has anyone gone ahead and mounted plug-in speakers on the front ones so as not to give up trail tunes?

i'm debating making a small box that i'd mount to it or fab a box for speakers in the kick panel area. 5.25 speakers don't require a bunch of volume for air so that's a big plus but i haven't decided which route i want to take yet.

Pricey? Our product is known to be very well priced. Have you looked at the cost of steel lately?

I think its QLogic that makes a set of kick panels w speaker mounts

yeah qlogic has them but after paying for my doors i'll make my own boxes. time and the price of steel are what influenced my buy and not have to do my own fab. plus you hooked me up with free shipping which would of ran me almost 30 bucks from quadratec. like i said, bad a$$ doors!!!

Some amateur fiberglass work in conjunction with modfying your factory kick panels might be a fun project

XJ mirrors are attached to the door. So the mirror is on the door.

They're a standard Bestop Soft Door Paddle Handle for a YJ.

Eventually we'll be making our own model to fit the XJ Striker pin, so there will be no more swapping of the pins.
