Whay do I see all thes guys running 35's and getting 13-15 mpg on stock gears while im running 31 and getting 10 I reacently did major tune up any suggestions why I have stock gears 3.54,d44 rear,d35 front.Ran seafoam changed oil,what else am I missing???

Because they are lying. I have 33's, and 3.55s. My Jeep is in perfect working order. I get 11 city, 14 highway.

That being said, you should still get better mileage then that with 31s. If you did a major tune up, try 3 things if you haven't already. Disconnect your battery for 30 minutes so that it resets your computer. Check for any cracks in your exhaust manifold, and check to see if you catalytic converter is clogged.

Well I know for a fact that I have a crack in the manifold due to my seafoam expeirence.All new exhaust about 5 months ago and 1000 miles,cant be cloged,or can it?

A cracked manifold will make your mileage shit, replace it.

Ok then I herd you can run a 91 manifold and it is still suppose to be good due to the banana shape is this true?I have an 87.
And poosibly get some HP out of it.

You cannot run a '91+ manifold on your renix, it won't match up.

I read it JP mag,not saying there the best but ill look through my library and see if I can find it then Ill post.Is that all that could be the problem with such crappy gas milage only w/ 31's

No, but thats where I would start since you know it is cracked.

Rule stuff out before you try and attack everything. A cracked manifold will give you shitty mileage. You know yours is cracked, so fix it. If that doesn't do it, you can go from there.

Gears might also help you out as well. What gears are in it now?

Gears might also help you out as well. What gears are in it now?

Which ones should I go for and what about air?I know to get better milage more gas means more air means more spark right.Thats what I was tought.Is there a problem here?

Well I was just going to 4.88 cause Ill be runn 35 in the future .......the way I look at it is better to be safe then sorry.I only drive 20-35 miles a day in it when I do drive it.To work and home other then that I drive my other car(which is POS,fuel pump went out on it) or my girls.

If you are headed to 35's, then 4:88's are great. You will just have to deal with it.

Yeah I know I want to keep it a DD but enjoy offroading to much.worrring about not making it to work.So I do have anotherCAR but looking for an s-10 or something small or maybe big depends Im just getting situated in my new place.drove 1500 miles
