I have seen some posts on this tires but havent heard what i have wanted to hear yet. just curious if anyone has ran them and how they perform and most importantly last.

is this a get what you pay for situation or are these actually good tires?
There mud terrains have a aggresive look and they sell a 33 x 12.50 im interested in.
Does anyone have pics running these tires?
thanks
eric

Not on a jeep, but I know a guy who runs them on a suzki samurai. So far they have worn as well (not any worse at least) as any other mud terrain and off road they work really well.

I purchased a slightly used set of the 33x12.5 MT's awhile ago and put them on a friend's jeep (Scarface on this forum.) Haven't heard any problems, and his is a DD. They are the same tread pattern as the Dunlop Radial Rover MT. I put a set of the all terrains in 235/85R16 load range E with the green diamonds on my Suburban about 10k miles ago. They look brand new and were a great price. The tread pattern is the same as the Dunlop RV Radial Rover, which tends to hum on pavement. I would definitely buy from them again. I'll probably get the all terrains in 245/75R16 for my wife's XJ when it needs new shoes and a slight jump in lift to fit.

a friend of mine runs 35" retreads on his cj. he has dw, but i dont know if it is from something else, might be because you cant balance a retread. i have heard that putting in a bunch of bb's or a couple of golf balls will take care of this. also, he has torn a lug off. his are the mud rover tread and i have real mud rovers they both perform equally well

"might be because you cant balance a retread"

Why can't you balance a retread? From what I've read, the Hi-Tec retreads balace out very well. I didn't bother because I mount my own tires and haven't gotten a balancer yet and wanted to try out the BB trick, but as I stated earlier the 33" MT's on my buddy's XJ balanced fine and he drives it daily.

where did he get 35" retreads? Hi-tec only sells up to a 33.

Woah, thats the first i've heard of using golf balls. Let me know how that one goes.

Yea, who told you that? I run their 33x12.50R15 retreads and love them. I have had them sense x-mas. I don't get stuck too offen thanks to them.

Well, let's see. I don't have many pictures. Most of the time I am alone, or i am taking the pictures for others. BTW, my retreads are on the BFG base.

i was just going by what a few people have told me, maybe they dont balance well? :dunno: or maybe just theirs wouldnt for some reason.

Looks like you don't get stuck too much due to the heavy application of the right foot!!
Now maybe I can con a wealthier friend into buying a set of 35's just so some of us out here can give them a shot!

It's more of a pain to ballance, but ya can!

Some of my wheels have a lot of weights, but they still ballance out.

i ran a set of High-Tec 33"s on my 69 gladiator and they ballanced beautifully. They dropped jaws at the Tire Shop, especially after i told them what i paid for them. Im getting ready to order up another set for my XJ, but im going to go 31" OTR Muds. Hard to argue with 65 bucks a tire.

Also, they have 35"s now, 37"s on the way soon.

I had a set of 31's on my XJ and they were great in mud and on rocks, and they weren't too bad on the street either. The only downsides are that the rubber compound is soft and can get cut really easily (trim or bumpstop your jeep if you buy them!), and if you don't rotate them they will wear funny before you even realize it.
