So I had my high pressure power steering hose replaced about two years at this little shop by my house back home and I noticed yesterday while replacing my engine temp sensor that its leaking pretty good again so I replace it AGAIN! Anyway if I gotta replace this thing again anybody know where I can get one that won't fail after two years again? I would like something that is going to last me atleast 5 years or more.

I've used Edelmann (aftermarket) for years without incident.

If you're so inclined, you can also get adapters (M14 and M16 o-ring hydraulic fittings) to -6AN and make your own hoses using removable ends - I did that on one rig using plumbing from Parker-Hannifin without any trouble.

Edelmann have been reasonably priced (I don't recall exactly how much,) and they're usually "install and forget" for me.

X2^ on the Edelmann

double check the steering from lock to lock and make sure nothing is hitting/rubbing the hose when you're turning

So where can I get the Edelmann hose?

Edelmann is a fairly common aftermarket brand - just call around and ask.

(One thing - don't "lead" the guy behind the counter. Asking "Do you carry Edelmann steering parts" is not good. Asking "What power steering parts/hoses/whatever you're looking for" is a better question. It's too easy for someone who should say "I don't know" to just say "Yes" - and you go in and find out they were wrong...)

I just had my pressure hose on my 97 xj blow. I bought a replacement from edelmann but the connector was about 3/8 of an inch longer on the bottom end. It fit, but the return hose did not clear the new connector when I went to put it back on. Anyone have any suggestions on another brand that they use that holds up.
