Thanks to a great CPA that found I had overpaid Uncle Sam last year and a wife that ignores 90% of what I do with our money, I am now the proud owner of a 1991 XJ. $2100 out the door for the 220K miles, 1991 XJ Laredo on fairly new 33's and a 3.5" lift with 2" spacers. Bought it from a guy that runs a local mechanic shop and think I got a decent deal. I don't care that the paint is horrible or that the headliner and carpet are gone because I will be painting and doing something (possibly heculine/rhinoline) to the inside. It came with a shovel, hilift jack and some oil cans. That stuff is easily worth $800 alone.
Mods on the wish list:
* lunchbox locker
* OD Green paint
* interior painting and cleaning
* remove all the tint and replace with 30%
* bumpers and winch
* relocate cb antenna (it comes out the roof under the roof rack, so if something was in the rack, the antenna would have to be down)
* Sirius radio (I haven't listened to FM since I bought the Daytona in 2006 - the ride home in the Jeep today was very difficult due to 45 minutes of weather, traffic and commercials)
