Hey fellas, I'm new and this is my first post here. I signed up awhile back and been kind of lurking per say. This seems like a great forum so far!

Anyway, my name is Chris, I live in Castle Rock, CO and about 2 months ago I purchased my first Jeep ever. It's a 2000 Cherokee Classic and I love it. I've always liked the XJ and now I finally have one. Although some people say I kind of "downgraded" to it from my previous vehicle, I disagree. It's just a different type of vehicle, it's awesome.

I haven't become a paid member yet (I know, shame on me) but I wanted to check it out for a bit first. I hope you guys don't mind.

Here's some pics of my Jeep...

As I do have lots of future plans for it, including about 4.5" of lift and 33's, as you can see, right now it's mostly stock as I'm still learning and funds are tight. The only thing I've done is do some audio upgrades, obviously the wheels, and install my CB.

I'd like to get to know the rig better on the trails before I lift it just so I know what it's capable of. I need to get it on the trails more but I don't know of any somewhat local places around here. I'm sure I'll figure it out in due time.

Thanks for reading!

Very nice XJ. It is the twin to what mine looked like when I bought it. :)

Welcome to NAXJA.

Tons of great info. and these guys will willing help you make your Jeep what you want it to be.

Excuses Excuses Excuses :D

There's this goober.....he goes by JohnJohn........ he owns an offroad parts website www.bigoffroad.com and lives in Castle Rock somewhere. His rig is green as well, over-lifted (many call it the tippy pickle) and has bumper stickers that reference Hummers in various humerous aspects......

Here's a pic of the dingleberry.....

Oh yeah, forgot about Mr. "I'd come to meetings if you'd bring 'em farther north".......... then moves way south.

Still waiting for him to whine about how far north the Tech Seminar is gonna be...... :D

Does he even have an XJ????

Takin' pics at the Fairgrounds, huh? Nice, clean XJ you've got...looks good. Welcome, and don't listen to Troy...he's a grumpy gimp. :D

JohnJohn - that's a phony-lookin' sorta plate you've got there? Haven't notice any updates on the travels recently...

Yeah! Who has the plate? Has it been to Florida yet? I am going there and Alabama in December.

Glen

Love the handle, man. "I'm surrounded by assholes!" Too true.

I live in Castle Rock on the north side above Taco Hell. My Jeep hasnt seen much road time lately due to various mechanical issues that have been neglected. But its a white '90 with a yakima rack up top and winch up front.
