yea, they rape ya there. any real metal supply place will treat you better and charge much less. if you were in SD, i'd point you in the right direction.
if you need small stuff, check out onlinemetals.com as well. they have everything and at fair prices for the most part. i own a machine shop and make my own products so i order a fair amount of the same material. i find it's hard to find anyone willing to match their prices so i order some of the hard to get stuff through them.
sucks that you have to order it since they're not local, but it's still way better than IMS.

10-4 I'm a machinist/fabricator, but I don't do any ordering or pricing.....
Right now I'm sourcing everything to build a pair of freestanding candelabra's for the wife. So far I found 3/4" twist x 48" long online for $3.50 each = $14.00 shipping for the pair.
But I still need all the candle cups and little baubles to weld on to them. They will become a permanent fixture in our annual Halloween party.
IMS has all that shi......... Uh, crap. It's just that their prices are a bit high. Wouldn't mind if I only needed 1 or 2 pieces, but some of the bits I need 16 of.....
Check with a wrought iron place/fence supply
