Hey Billy..............

Mines sitting beside the house :D

Hey Billy, how's things? Looks like your up a running?

How much do you need for it Basalt? I'm trying to get one up to Andy so it'll be easier to install my gears.

Eh... things are blah. I'm still not up and running.
[RANT]
I pulled the front end 2 weeks ago. Talked to Adam Ant about tapping my uppers to take some althread that I have and he said it'd be no problem. So, I pull the axle, cut the arms in half, and send them down to him. After being told it would be a 1 day turn-around, I finally get ahold of him 4 days later... but now he tells me that he can't do it. :smsoap: He tells me he'll call me the next day w/ a solution. 2 days go by and I call him. He says he hasn't had a chance to look at them again yet and I tell him that it's my daily driver and I really need to hear back from him. 4 more days go by (over the weekend) by the time I hear back from him (after calling several times) and he wants me to buy all the stuff to make new arms from scratch. I finally give up on Rosemont and have my parts driver pick up the ruined arms and they try to say he has to pay for all the stuff that Adam had layed out for me!
In the mean time, I took out a loan (for $2000) to buy a daily driver and was talked into buying a truck at the wholesale auction that the dealership buys/sells at. I blow $1650 on a truck that I barley get to work the next day in when I realize the tranny is going out. Of course, this is right after I pay $100 to get it smogged and a couple other little things. So, I drove it back to the auction today (in 2nd gear the whole way  ) to try to recover as much of my money as I can (which I'm sure will be less than $1000). I think I'm going to surrender to Murphy, take a couple hundred of whats left of the loan, and buy a nicer bicycle
[/RANT]
Sorry Kev... I'm sure that's not the answer you were expecting, but I hadn't had a chance to vent in a long time. Thanks.

Sorry to hear your having such a rough time Billy. Hopefully you can get a decent dd and then be able to work on your xj without worrying about having it all back together each day to get to work in. What auto auction did you go to the ASAA or Adesa around Watt? I took a look at the ASAA, I'm not sure if that's the name, they don't let you drive the vehicles so I was pretty leary of buying from them. You can however get a list of the vehicles going up for auction before the auction and run a carfax on them to get a vague history of them through DMV records to see if it looks o.k.

what happened to the D30 out of your Jeep? :viking:

I'm just waiting on my 8" skyjacker coils that I'm picking up from someone this coming weekend and then I just have to bleed the brakes and put on the tires then I will be putting up my dana 30 for sale. I bought 1 built with 4.56 gears, arb, and 297 u-joints that I'm almost done installing. The 1 I'm selling has 297 u-jointed axles, non disconnect, and 4.56 gears but an open diff. It comes with the calipers, rotors, everything minus the steering for $350 o.b.o.
Let me know if your interested or if anyone else is interested I live in Citrus Heights by the Sunrise mall off of Sunrise & Madison.

$250? brakes, calipers, steering - its all yours. Even still has diff fluid in it :D

I don't need the gears, as I have new 4:88's up at Andys. Would ya take $100 for it without the gears? I do need the carrier though. :wave1:

Unfortunatly, I know the pit falls pretty well by now, but I appreciate the offer. If I end up being in the market again, I'll call or PM you.

Lol, the shafts are worth more than that. And what am I going to do with a 3.55 R+P? :dunno: :D

Keven, don't worry about it, I can work on yours.

I'll dig into the rear this weekend.
