Ever heard of Deakin University in Melbourne? Any thoughts on it, i might study abroad there next year.....Is melbourne as cool as Sydney and such?

From an old sailor who ported there several times while on a fast attack we had more pairs of womans undiies dropped on us with phone numbers as we went under the bridge that it looked like a surrealistic blizzard... Sydney or melbourn were both great, now the North west cape on the other hand gaaaaaa, that place sucked for the two weeks I was there..

Deakin University is a good University if not in the top Oz 8. But Melbourne lacks the zing of Sydney. A good Jeep club just the same.

Hey mate, IMO the reputation of the University can depend on the subject of study. Deakin is a good Uni...which campus are you looking at? There are a few around. Ive studied at La Trobe (BSc, Hons) and Melbourne Uni (MSc, PhD).
Melb uni is among the top in the world and rates with the likes of UC, Cornell, Stanford, Yale, Cambridge, etc etc.

BTW Melbourne rocks Sydney and we have the biggest Jeep Club in Oz! Too many fags in Sydney, ..."Not that there is anything wrong with that" LOL
