Finally got the XJ out. Turns out there was a little more snow at the top than I could handle, but survived none the less.

End of the line for me:

I had a great time.

My new (to me) rear ARB worked well. I guess it is time to lock up the front! First trip with the 4.88's as well, I am real happy with the choice. They really help out the 258K mile 4.0

I was alone but prepared with plenty of warm stuff, first aid crap, food and water.

I could not go any further forward. When I tried the ass end got a little too close to the edge of the "cliff".
If you lose it in the mountains, you lose it big!

Go over the edge and basically you keep accelerating @ 32 feet-per-second-per-second? Unless you get lucky and have some trees and rocks to oppose the descent.

If you have the choice between:
A head-on collision
or
Going over the edge

Take the head-on! You'll be found sooner. Nice pics, I'm jealous.

Man, did you go it alone up there? I'd love to do some driving like that but I'm open and won't be able to afford the ARB for some time.

i figured i was just busting. did you think it walked worse with the locker engaged? did you try with it off. just wondering

Yeah, that was the thing- locker off, no forward progress. Locker on, "crab walk" or whatever they call it.
I must say, it was awful nice to have a selectable.

Thanks for the free feedback on the locker. At one time I was looking at a no-slip. I'm saving for the selectable instead.
