Help with my HIDs

I bought some HIDs from bajahids.com
Very happy with them, soooo much brighter than stock.
One problem is this:
When i turn the ignition off, the hids turn on, even if the headlights are turned off. The only way i can turn them off is by opening the door, turn them on and off once, then flash the brights....

its kind of funny, not a big deal ( it is a cherokee, i am expecting quirks) but id like to fix it if it is possible.

its that timed relay that keeps the lights on after you turn off the jeep. its supposed to turn off after 30 seconds or so but when they go bad they just stay on. a bit of searching might come up with what the relay is called and where it goes, i'll see if i can find it for you because i dont remember where it is.

I think i am going to have to run a relay. It will def fix my problem, but i just didnt want to spend the extra 30 or so if i didnt have to.

a bit of searching might come up with what the relay is called and where it goes,

Find the timer and then put a relay in its place.

That will solve your issue.

Its called the sentenial switch in my 87 xj. Takes 45 seconds in believe then they auto shut off. Unless i switch the lights on and off then they go off. Sounds like the same relay but yours is bad.

Or what you could do is put your HID on a separate switch with a relay. And don’t forget to turn them off. Also you can get a relay by itself and not cost you $30 for a kit.
