I'm trying to add clear coat to some of my metal art. But I do not want to use any from a spray cans. I know if i get the dual compound mixture I'm sure it will go bad before I got to use it all. And to make matters worse I will like to use a HVLP sprayer. I was thinking to use Rust-Oleum Ultimate Polyurethane for wood. Was anyone trid this ? Is there anther way I can clear coat metal ?

You can get a single stage acrylic enamel clear coat by the gallon that will work well.

Look at www.paintforcars.com

I can't think of a piece of furniture I would kill/cripple myself with faster, but I still want this.
