Help me ID this bumper please

A buddy at work gave me this bumper. He claims that it was on his brother's 96 XJ and had a tire carrier attachment.

There are slots for "uprights" on either side and he says that one side was for the hinge assy and rhe other for the latch assy.

Is this something that was produced, or is it a homemade piece ?

I was also told that it was replaced with a new unit and parts are non-existent.

I suck at links to pics, so here goes

Re: Definately Farm Equipment

That is homemade buddy. It looks like the older, pre-97 XJ Rear mounts though. You could for sure mount serious stuff with some mods too.

I kinda thought it was homemade but he swore up and down that it was an aftermarket bumper.

The uprights are giving me lots of ideas for racks..tire carrier plus whatever......and If I do mount it it will get a little massaging on the corners...but for the price....would you turn it down?

Looks like home made to me! Looks pretty beefy too!

I agree that it is close to the BulletProof design. Yours dosn't look BulletProof though.
