Digicam is on the fritz, so please bear with me on this description as I'd much rather post a pic.
This part was on the pass. fender of my '93 4.0L XJ, looks like some type of vacuum motor with a cable routed to the throttle body. It also has a line for manifold vacuum. It was mounted between the battery and the relay box.
