Please send your support of the California City Senator Roy Ashburn Bill SB 615 to permit the California City Council to designate trails within California City to allow Off Road access in the city.

I don't understand the undlying issue.

What is getting closed? What access is needed that licensed 4WD vehicles do not already have?
Is it somehow illegal to drive a 4WD vehicle in California City?

The City enacted a local ordinance to allow OHV's on dirt roads. The City wanted a state law to help support the local ordinance. This bill would help add an additional State Vehicle Code law that allow City's over 200 square miles (Cal City is one of the 3 cities) to manage locally OHV use in their City. The City has been working on this for a while. (Yes.. a City spending money to keep OHV riding open...). The DIRT team supports this bill and the state NEEDS letters of support to pursuade the passage of SB 615.....
