"One I don't understand is the toll section on I-70 in Kansas. You drive all the way across the country on 70 and all of a sudden there's a toll booth for a short section of INTERSTATE highway. Reminds me of that scene in Blazing Saddles. TC"
Ya waddap with that? Then just a small piece west on 70, they shunt ya into one lane, with oncoming traffic in the other lane... and NO BARRIERS WHATSOEVER. Little orange cones IIRC. Whoever spec'd that into the contract had one sick sense of humor :viking: Meanwhile as ya dodge inbound semi's and wayward cones, mile after mile of fresh concrete paved eastbound lane lays gleaming alongside...
Maybe the tolls are there to pay the victims families claims?
