Just finished the Iron Rock hack and tap. Problem is that the 1310 front driveshaft they sent ( reconditioned from another XJ) is sliding in the the yoke after I tightened the ujoint straps. Hope I'm explaining this right but seems that there is quite a bit of play side to side. The axle I have is an 8.25 Chysler. Can someone please point me in the right direction. This is my daily driver and I ndon't want to grenade it!

Are you using the origional (used) caps? If so, buy new ones, once they are tightened down, the caps stretch to hold the joint...

A little bit of play in the joint itself (yoke moves in the caps) is normal. The joint itself (the complete joint with the caps) should not move in the yoke it should be a tight fit with little shoulders built into the yoke itself to hold the caps in place, it's not press fit though so a slight bit of play could be possible. A picture would help to see exactly where your talking about. Once you tighten down the straps the caps themselves should not move at all.
