I started to put the locker in the d30 today and I cant get the axle shafts to slide out. I already got the 3 bolts out of the back but the "hub" will not seperate from the steering knuckle. I tried using a flat head screwdriver and a hammer with no luck. Im wondering if there are any tricks. The assembly is pretty rusty.

yeah you really gotta beat it to get it out, mine was really hard as well. just keep trying, it will come out.

ok Im hitting it with the screw driver where the hub meets the knuckle right at where the splash sheild for the rotor is. i have beat on it for an hour now and it hasnt budged. What the efffffffff.

just the three bolts on the back of the steering knuckle. you really need a BFH

Put your rotor on backwards and use it like a slide hammer.

or if all else fails get creative!

get a pry bar and some leverage. than put it on the end of the axle shaft and it will come out.

in there and then turn the steering wheel to pop it out."

Mine were easy to come out, and just a good single hit from a mallet did it for me, but this should be a really good way, would probably take two people as to hold the 3/8" in place before you put pressure on it would be hard.
