Kronik how far do they go? low beams and high beams? and I'm guessing the blue doesnt help the whiter the better..

FYI, Yella sells a wiring harness through BOR as well, I think very similar to the ea one mentioned earlier... ya know, if you wanted to support a local and a supporting vendor or something.

id say they low beams go out a good 30 40 feet. and the highs go out probably a good 100 feet or so.
the blue takes away some of the brightness as does the black housings. but im sure some 6000ks would be bright as hell even with the black housing.
mine work perfectly for me.... i also have the bull bar so it blocks a good chunk of light... haha.
i will try and take some good pics tonight and post them.

Did you get those installed yet? Im about to pull the trigger on the same kit.

i am not satisfied with this setup i have right now for a few reasons. the low beams are hid but high beams are H4 lights, so the brights are way more dull due to my housings than my low beams, almost useless in fact. i feel like the 6k is a bit too blue, id go with the 4300k kit(like pictured above) if i did it again.
i love the way my black housings look during the day, but do no supplement good lighting. sucks i already spent the cash, guess ill just toss on some aux. lights to make up for the lack of lighting :doh:

Your not satisfied with the carhidkits.com kit or your previous setup?

The only con to the HID conversion seems to be if your ballast goes out then your w/o a light. Have you heard about ballasts or cut-off being a problem w/ these kits?

BTW is the xtralights.com kit complete? Looks like it wouldn't solve the high beam problem though

Not a real fan of aftermarket hids. my old rx8 came with factory and the design was nothing similiar to the AM ones. light output was phenominal. compared to a hid i put in a 03 f150, didnt even come close.

the key to hids is the housing, need a really good projector properly designed. IMO
